Body language is what you make of it. People will react according to how you want to be perceived. There is a forgotten art though, it’s called listening. People will only want to communicate with you if you possess the capability to hear and understand what they are telling you. Most are able, some are not. In a worst case scenario, people should at least fake it. This will almost have the same effect. Just don’t get caught in one of those situations where the speaker asks you questions to see if you were paying attention. That’s the worst.
