Some girls in class have probably already heard about this but I wanted to share with the rest of you how cool this was. Last Wednesday my friend’s Chihuahua went missing. Within minutes, her and her roommates sent out text messages to all of their friends informing them of the situation and to keep an eye out for Moses. They formed a Facebook group that had a picture of Moses with the words MISSING and invited all of their friends. They also set their Facebook profile pictures to that same photo and updated their Twitter statuses. All of this happened in two hour time frame when Moses was returned to the girls by someone who saw them walking on the street and only recognized Moses from Facebook. It’s pretty amazing how effective social media can be when it is used right because it is a way to reach a large number of people in a quick amount of time.
That’s wonderful that the dog was returned. How funny that it was recognized off of Facebook. It’s interesting how social media can change even this aspect of our lives.
Thanks for sharing!
